Joining the NLSA (or renewing Your Membership)

We are delighted that you want to join us or continue sailing at the West Reservoir Centre, Stoke Newington.

Membership criteria

If you are 8 or over and have an RYA Level 2 certificate or a Youth Stage 3 or equivalent, you can join straight away; just follow the instructions below.  There is a dropdown menu and the one you select depends on your date of joining and your category of membership.

Applications for young people aged  8 to 17 must be made by their parent or guardian.

The close family of qualified adult members can also join even if unqualified themselves but must only sail with the qualified adult family member.

NLSA is not a RYA Training Centre so If you don't have a qualification or dinghy-sailing experience, contact either the West Reservoir Centre on 020 8442 8116 or Brightlingsea Coastal Sailing Centre at nlyst126@gmail.com for details of RYA courses.

If you have dinghy-sailing experience but no qualification you can apply for an NLSA assessment.  Once you have successfully completed this you will be able to join. Email the Membership Secretary.

If you have an equivalent qualification, email the Membership Secretary on membership@northlondonsailing.org.
